I design and make unique handbags using Welsh tweed from my small studio in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains surrounded by the glorious Welsh landscape.
Pure wool Welsh tweed is a wonderful fabric; it is a sustainable material which is naturally water and stain resistant and hard-wearing. I collect vintage Welsh tweed as skirt lengths and unwanted clothing, drawn to their colours, textures and history and give the fabrics a new lease of life by up-cycling them to create one-of-a-kind handbags. I use the offcuts to make small gifts and cards. Working with wool brings me closer to my beautiful surroundings and its agricultural heritage.
I aim to create in a sustainable way; I source local produce where possible, i.e. lavender grown near Swansea, Welsh wood buttons and bag handles carved in mid-Wales. My studio is powered by renewable electricity. Visitors to the studio will be able to explore the processes of turning raw fleece into yarn and then fabric.

Directions to studio:
Most SatNavs take you to the farm on the left of the weatherboard house but go down the track as detailed below.
On A482 heading West:
Pass Bridgend Inn on your left. Pass two farms and take the first left immediately after the second farm. Follow road pass Ffrwdfal House then take the next right up hill. At top of hill, with a weatherboard house facing you, take the track immediately to the left of the house which is signed as a dead end and a bridleway. Cwm Einon Fawr is at the end of this track.
Heading East on A482 from Lampeter:
Just before you enter Pumpsaint village turn right at the large lay-by on the RHS of the road. Take the first left (just after a bridge) and follow this lane for about 1.5 miles. As you reach the brow of the hill you will see a cream house with weatherboarding on the right. Take a sharp right to pass round the front of the house and take the track sign posted a dead end and a bridleway to the left of the house. Continue on this track keeping left. this way is quite narrow so you may prefer to carry along the A482 and take the turning suggested when heading west (now on your right, about 1 mile after Pumpsaint village)
